How do I schedule an appointment?

Start by calling Dr. Bartell at (516) 944-5856. She will have a brief conversation with you to explain the therapeutic process, discuss fees and answer all your questions. She will then schedule your first session.

Does Dr. Bartell use telehealth for therapy?

Yes! Telehealth has been proven to be as effective as in-person therapy for most adults, teens and older children. There are some instances in which Dr. Bartell does not recommend teletherapy, such as with very young child who would benefit primarily from play therapy. But, even then, in many cases, Dr. Bartell can work with parents to help their child. Dr. Bartell utilizes a HIPAA compliant telehealth program to conduct teletherapy.

How do I pay Dr. Bartell?

Dr. Bartell accepts payment in the form of check, cash or Zelle/Chase Quickpay. At this time, credit cards are not accepted.

Does Dr. Bartell accept insurance?

Dr. Bartell does not participate in any insurance plans or accept payment via insurance assignment. She is an out-of-network provider. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits for therapy, you will be able to receive reimbursements for therapy. You will pay Dr. Bartell directly, and she will provide you with the insurance compliant invoices you require to submit, so that you can receive reimbursement directly.

What is Dr. Bartell’s cancellation policy?

Please cancel/reschedule an appointment at least 24 hours before the appointment time. Appointments that are missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours are subject to full payment.
